This Delray Beach kitchen combines traditional inset cabinetry with a contrasting stained island, professional-style appliances, and full-height stone surfaces. Every part of the cabinetry was designed to fit the room while providing practical storage, comfortable seating, and a clean, finished appearance.
The white perimeter cabinetry keeps the kitchen bright and complements the natural light entering through the windows. The darker island adds warmth and creates a clear focal point in the center of the room.
White Inset Perimeter Cabinetry
The perimeter features white painted inset cabinetry that extends to the ceiling. Stacked molding completes the upper cabinets and gives the kitchen a built-in appearance.
Drawers and cabinet doors were arranged around the cooking, preparation, and cleanup areas to keep frequently used items close to where they are needed. The cabinetry also frames the professional-style range and stainless steel hood while maintaining a balanced appearance across the cooking wall.
A full-height stone backsplash carries the countertop material upward, creating a continuous surface behind the range and surrounding work areas. Under-cabinet lighting highlights the stone and provides additional task lighting.
A Contrasting Kitchen Island
The stained wood island introduces contrast against the white cabinetry and light countertops. Decorative end and back panels give the island a furniture-style appearance instead of leaving a flat finished surface.
